Why Fraternities should be off suspension

At the moment roughly half of all the fraternities are suspended on campus. This is limiting the fraternities from being able to perform simple tasks to withhold and improve the fraternities itself. The Fraternities are unable to perform out of state formals, were unable to participate in homecoming, also on suspension they are not supposed to meet and have chapter or elections, along with pledge education for pledges attempting to become new members. This is a problem because it is ruining Greek life at the University of Iowa and setting up these chapters for failure in the future.

I am currently pledging to be a member in the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity and the suspension has been hard for us causing many problems. It's affecting the life of the Fraternity and everyone is scared to do normal things that we would normally do. It's a hard time and it has caused us to miss rituals and most important bonding time within the fraternity

Solution

There are many problems within greek life and suspensions for most fraternities including mine will be off suspension next semester however, the university rules will still be an issue

To conclude the fraternities should break away because they will not lose any funds and all that will come from it is the university being unable to limit the fraternities from doing things that they do and are supposed to do on a regular basis

Speech Topic

For my topic Im going to give my speech over Greek life in Iowa city. My main focus for the speech would be why the university fraternities are suspended, including the one I'm in, and why the University policies need to change. The University of Iowa is being strict and attempting to ruin greek life in Iowa City. I choice this topic because I am joining greek life this year and the constant issue we are dealing with his being on suspension or not. The suspension issue is ruining greek life because it limits the fraternity events and stops us from performing certain activities, ie. formals, homecoming, etc..

To make this speech the best you should choice something that you care about and can connect with the best. If you choice something that you can connect with strongly it will help make persuading the audience to side with you that much more easier. From what I gathered the topic can be over any problem as long as you have a personal connection to the field.

After seeing my comments on the paper I can conclude that I need to first clear up my finding and grammatical issues. Along with this I need to improve my introduction by added some sections and backing them up with prior studies that had been completed. Then on my discussion portion of the paper I need to include implications to the paper not the limitations.
