Business writing must be very accurate, short, and get right to the point. When in the business world no one want to waste time reading filler writing, they want you to get straight to the point. In the business world one should be able to skim the writing quickly and understand it well. However, most writing done by business man is sloppy, and hard to read.

Academic writing is written by professionals in any given practice. This consists of scientific, and technical writing to make sure the point gets out in a very detailed and concise way. Most of the times there will be a list of references
Non-academic writing is writing for the general public. These are not given as much detail and take less time to write. Often consist of journal entries.

In business people mainly use writing to develop contracts. These consist of rules and promises among business’ and people. In a business contract there is an initial offer, then an acceptance or decline, then they must create a relationship and sign a legal document, finally the consideration, which usually deals with payment of money.

Major writing number 1

The analytical report describes an assignment in which we have to go out and interview both students and professionals. The purpose would be to compare and contrast how writing professionally differs from the classroom. I could see myself in particular learning many new things about writing from interviewing people beyond just the classroom. These people have experience that I don't yet have. Along with that they are more likely to look at a document differently, than myself, because In the past I have only written papers so that I could receive a grade. In the pas,t I have also only seriously written papers about historic events, novels, people,  etc. Unlike professionals who write about current news, court documents, medical histories. Interviewing a professional would give me another look at the world of writing.
Questions
1. What kind of person qualifies to be interviewed ?
2. How many interviews would make this assignment the best?
3. When should we pick who we want to interview by?

Rhetoric

Rhetoric is how you use speech to influence a population and spread ideas effectively, including writing. examples come best from Ancient Greek times ethos, logos, pathos. These ideas were brought to life by a greek philosopher, Aristotle, and express a persons character, their reason/logic, and emotion.
